11 January 2008 - How Long Does it Take to Get a Job in the NHS?

A good start to the week looking at an appointments process. How long does it take to get a job in the NHS?? 26 days minimum (+ notice period) up to a staggering 260 days if you fall in every administrative black hole. The typical is 60 days (+notice). We've spotted one or two areas for improvement and will look at the paperwork and website updating to see if it can be made easier.

Two days looking at the MSK pathway from GP/GPwSI through MSK team to discharge or onto Orthopaedic Consultant in one of 5 hospitals. 3 completely different services operating with radically different outcomes.

In the middle of the week we ran another of our 1 day Lean Healthcare Overview Courses (LHO) and the pitch of this is about right now, we had a mixed audience in terms of knowledge, seniority and role and it works with everyone on all levels.
