Awards Explained

The Lean Healthcare Academy Awards are held after the conference at an evening dinner event.
Finalists for each category will be invited to attend the conference and dinner and a winner form each category will be announced at the awards dinner.
AWARD APPLICATION SUBMISSION HAS NOW CLOSED
There are a total of 9 award categories as detailed below. Whether you have completed one of the Lean Health Academy training courses or not, you are entitled to enter these awards if you can demonstrate that your project used the principles or criteria laid out on the relevant application form.
To enter simply decide on your category, download the application form, complete the questions and return by email to event@leanhealthcareacademy.co.uk by the deadline of Wednesday 30th November 2011 to qualify.
Award Categories and description
1. The Best Impact on Patient Experience Award
This Award celebrates achievements which focus on the core aim of a modern health service – to provide an excellent and ever improving experience to service users.
2. The Sustained Improvement Award
This award category aims to recognise those who have implemented and sustained successful change and can evidence measurable results.
3. Pioneers of Telehealth / Telecare
This Award recognises those who are leading the way with the adoption of Telehealth and / or Telecare as a means of making efficiency improvements whilst driving up the quality of care.
4. Lean Champion(s) of the Year
The Lean Champion of the year Award recognises individuals or teams who have made a unique impact in pushing forward the boundaries of lean within their area or organisation.
5. The Productive Series Award - England
The Productive Series Award (England) recognises those organisations, in England, who have made the most progress towards embedding the principles of lean via the Productive Series initiative
6. The Productive Series Award - International
The Productive Series Award (International) recognises those organisations, outside England, who have made the most progress towards embedding the principles of lean via the Productive Series initiative
7. The Embracing Technology Award
Awarded for the best use of innovative technology to improve patient experience and streamline working practices.
8. The Sharing Best Practice Award NEW AWARD CATEGORY
This award category aims to recognise those who have proactively shared good outcomes across work areas or organizations and can demonstrate successful adoption and implementation leading to enhanced results.
9. The People’s Choice Award
This Award will be voted for at the conference. Nominees will be those shortlisted in each of the above categories. All conference delegates will be entitled to vote.
