Capacity and Demand
This advanced workshop is teaches how to use statistics to assist in managing service delivery. Although it assumes no prior knowledge and is open to everyone, it is aimed at service managers, senior managers and clinicians and is designed to teach the basic theory of matching capacity and demand. It will cover topics such as understanding and managing variation, capacity, activity, queues and streaming workflows. The workshop will also use practical hands on teaching methods to introduce basic Statistic Process Control (SPC) and how it can be used to understand variation. It will demonstrate how queues form and the impact of variation on a stable process and what this means to service delivery.
