New Award Categories Released
The new 2010 awards categories have been released, each one designed to recognise a particular facet of Lean.

The categories are:
Best Impact on Patient Experience
The Best Impact on Patient Experience award celebrates achievements which focus on the core aim of Lean Healthcare; to provide an excellent and ever improving service for the user.
Best Sustained Project
The Best Sustained Project award recognises any person or team who, having implemented change for improvement has sustained those changes over a period of time, perhaps even improving further. (In the true spirit of kaizen!)
Facilitator's Choice
The Facilitator's Choice award is chosen by the Lean Healthcare Academy facilitators from amongst all of this year’s activity and recognises special achievements in various forms.
The Lean Champion of the Year
The Lean Champion of the Year award recognises the individual who has made the greatest progress as a proponent of Lean and had the most significant individual impact.
Organisation of the Year
The Organisation of the Year award recognises those organisations that have made the most significant strategic progress in the adoption of Lean.
Outstanding Contribution to Improving Services
The Outstanding Contribution to Improving Services award recognises a person or team who have truly transformed their service to reflect the needs of the service users.
The Productive Series Award
The Productive Series award recognises those organisations that have made the most progress towards embedding the principles of Lean via the Productive Series Initiative.
Project of the Year
The Project of the Year awards celebrate the best overall projects from the past 12 months. (*This can only be applied for in conjunction with another category)
Embracing Technology
Awarded for the best use of innovative technology to improve the patient experience and working practices.
Pioneers of Telehealth
This award recognises those who are leading the way with the adoption of Telehealth as a means of making cost and time savings.
